The NGO dedicated to the binturong

Our work in zoos

Since its creation, ABConservation has been committed to working hand-in-hand with zoological institutions to strengthen their efforts to raise public awareness of the disappearance of biodiversity. Today, the educational role of zoological parks no longer needs to be proven, and it must be one of their mainstays. With the creation of World Binturong Day in 2015, then the organization of numerous days within various zoological structures, ABConservation aims to be the driving force behind this awareness-raising. Since 2015, more than 10 institutions have placed their trust in us, for a total of 127 intervention days.

And many more besides, here !

These interventions can take place during various events: World Binturong Day, a day dedicated to the species, a nature festival or conservation days.

Whatever the event, we offer a "stand" format, run by our team of volunteers, with a wide range of activities available to visitors: mask-making and coloring, a binturong game, discussions with team members on the association's projects, raising awareness of binturong protection and eco-gestures; etc. Other activities are also possible on request and subject to appropriate communication. We travel all over France. Please note, however, that only partner institutions benefit from free travel. If your organization is not (yet) one of our partners, we will ask them to pay for our travel and accommodation expenses.
