The office

Pauline Kayser

President ABConservation

Kingdom: Animal
Class: Mammal
Species: Arboreal Homo sapiens
Gender: Female
Diet: The sweeter it is, the more she likes it
Location: The Paris jungle
Distinctive features: Communicative, sonorous laughter, fearsome tantrums
Personality: Lively and sociable, like the binturong
Favourite hobbies: Hiking, climbing, petting cats, caring for animals, reading, watching dramas and listening to music.

Pauline has been working with the binturongs in the menagerie at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris since 2012. She was quickly won over by the shaggy coat and lively, sociable character of the binturongs. Concerned about their fate, both in captivity and in the wild, and eager to learn more about them, she realized, after much research, that the species is both little-known and threatened. In 2014, she therefore decided to create an association whose aim will be to promote knowledge and protection of this species. Arctictis Binturong Conservation was born!

On her return to France, she talks to Agathe about the binturong and ABConservation's work, and is keen to lend the association a hand. In May 2018, she was given the role of secretary: she proofreads and corrects publications, helps translate texts into English and attends meetings with Pauline and Agathe.
