Improving knowledge of the binturong's ecology so as to be able to create an appropriate conservation program, promoting its image while raising public awareness of the importance of nature, and improving animal welfare in general - these are the challenges that the ABConservation association strives to meet every day.
The overall aim of the project is to improve knowledge of the ecology of the binturong and the true status of its population through scientific studies combining photographic trapping and radio-tracking. This information is crucial to the creation of an appropriate conservation program.
Our aim is to raise public awareness of the importance of nature and promote the image of the binturong. Because raising awareness means protecting!
It's a very special day that allows the ABConservation team, along with all our partners and binturong lovers, to celebrate this very special animal and to take the opportunity to spread the word!
The overall aim of this program is to improve the well-being of captive wild animals at the Palawan wildlife care center, by renovating outdated facilities and building new structures better suited to the physiological needs of the residents.
